Children’s photography in South London

I have posted one from this session already but can now show you  a few more. I love working with children this age – they are so funny and chatty. This little girl really reminded me of when my daughters were this age, especially my eldest.

Sometimes my favourite photo from a session is not the most technically correct, or even the most striking – it’s just the one that appeals the most and makes me smile:

London children’s photographer : Visit to Kew Gardens

Saturday felt very Spring-like in London so we took the children (and camera) to the Botanical Gardens at Kew.  Kew is beautiful in all seasons, and although there were few flowers yet the trees and plants were all in bud:

and the cherry trees were starting to bloom:

We stopped for a cup of tea and a cake:

explored the palm house:

(No photos from inside as the high humidity instantly steamed up my camera lens!)

It’s always easier to photograph other people’s children, but I snapped a few of my two before they started pulling faces at me:

Children’s portraits in South London : London Family Photographer

Here is one of the photos I took of this little girl and her parents the other morning in South London. She had such a great personality and I just loved her dimples.

It’s my favourite way to work – to let the children and parents play and have fun naturally – these are the shots that make me happy when get back to my ‘darkroom’.

I’ll be posting more of these later…
