Children’s portrait photographer Notting Hill : photos in the garden

Just a few for now from a recent portrait shoot in Notting Hill. It was nice to be back here as I used to live in this beautiful area several years ago.

I really like these images because they capture that feeling of playing out in the garden on a sunny day. The children are just getting on with their games, and the last few tell a little story of sibling interaction…

Children’s Ballet Portraits : Central London Children’s Photographer

I was lucky enough to photograph the rehearsals for the performance of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ by Kezia Mitchell’s wonderful Vacani Ballet school, Marylebone a few months ago. I often visit the Courtauld Gallery in London where I am inspired by the beautiful Post Impressionist paintings and drawings of ballerinas in rehearsal so was excited to do my own interpretation of this theme. I enjoyed the fact that the project gave the opportunity for gorgeous informal portraits, some Fine Art portraiture, and, perhaps my favourite kind of photographs, some funny and quirky moments such as the ballerina halfway up the climbing wall.

Lifestyle photos : London children’s photographer

We had a lovely time at half term and I took the girls to see their grandma mid-week.

I haven’t posted any photos of my daughters for a while, and I took a lot of natural, ‘lifestyle’ type of shots while we were away. I wanted photos of them just being themselves, with each other and with their grandma. It’s hard to choose one but I was very happy with this photo of my eldest. (Window light makes for a beautiful and atmospheric portrait.)
