Family portrait photographer Marylebone

Here are some informal family portraits from a recent shoot in Marylebone. I like to work with families at home as it allows the children to relax and be at ease which always makes for better photographs. It’s amazing how different all the portraits can be in mood. Literally from one moment to the next I can go from capturing very quiet and thoughtful images:

London child photographer : family photo shoot at home

The benefits of photographing children in their own home is that they can be more comfortable and at ease and I like to get shots of them surrounded by the things in their home that they will remember as part of their childhood.

The tea and cakes are just superb, but the atmosphere is what makes it so special. Surrounded by beautiful old china and hand picked art and craft, the cafe makes you feel completely at home and comfortable.

It’s a treasure trove for a photographer – jewel colours mingle with vintage designs. It would be hard to pick a favourite item, but the antique tea set with painted violets might be something I’ll be going back for…
