Photopolymer/photogravure print, on Bunkoshi select washi paper. ‘With a rich history of use in Japan and Europe, Bunkoshi Select is prized for its classically smooth Japanese surface and subtlety.’
I love the way that the delicate paper is quite transparent and has slight wrinkles which echo the petals of the flower.
This print is made in a similar way to a traditional etching, where a plate is created, inked by hand, and put through the press.
Image size 5x5 inches. Paper size approx 8x8 inches. Probably best framed with a mount card as the edges are quite distressed. :-)
