Photogravure prints of a Rose. These two prints are Artist Test Prints and have minor imperfections. (There are two colurs, Burnt Sienna and Warm Black. Choose your preference below.)
I was given this flower by the owner of a flower shop in Marylebone. I was fascinated by the way that they had opened the petals by hand to give the Rose such a striking shape.
Also known as photo etching or photopolymer, this print is made on Somerset Satin 100% cotton rag paper. The paper’s surface has a smooth texture, and is archival.
The print is made by transferring a photograph to a printing plate, and then inking it by hand and printing on a press in the same way as a traditional etching.

This print is available via the Artist Support Pledge, where once I have sold ASP prints to a value of £1100 I pledge to buy the work of another artist or artists for £220.
