Cyanotype of White Parrot Tulips on Arches Platine Cotton Rag paper.

Size 16.5 × 11.7 inches.

These are some of my favourite flowers. Their petals make beautiful sculptural forms, which are then enhanced by the cyanotype process.

I make each cyanotype print by hand coating cotton rag paper with a specially mixed light sensitive solution in very dim lighting. I then let it dry overnight. I expose it under a large negative and a piece of glass, usually the sun. I then rinse the paper in water and the blue image emerges.

Each print is slightly different due to the brushstrokes and other variations in the handmade process.

Limited edition of 12. The print is signed and dated on the reverse.
