Cyanotype print of a vase of roses and snapdragons. Size approx 7.5 x 5 inches. Limited Edition of 40.

Snapdragons are some of my favourite flowers. I grew a profusion of pink and apricot coloured blooms this year and wanted to capture them in all their glory.

I make each cyanotype print by hand coating cotton rag paper with a specially mixed light sensitive solution in very dim lighting. (The paper is made in France using a traditional process. The 100% cotton gives the paper a smooth velvety surface.)

I then let it dry overnight. I expose it using UV light, under a large negative. I then rinse the paper in water until the blue image emerges, and carefully dry it.

This print is signed, numbered and dated on the back.
