This series of works is based on a beautiful collection of Dahlias from Skylark Flower Company in West Berkshire. All their flowers are grown in the UK, with care for the environment.

I make each cyanotype print by hand coating cotton rag paper with a specially mixed light sensitive solution in very dim lighting. I then let it dry overnight. I expose it under a large negative and a piece of glass, usually the sun. I then rinse the paper in water and the blue image emerges.

Each print is slightly different due to the brushstrokes and other variations in the handmade process.

This is an open edition.
